According to statistics from the World Steel Association (WORLDsteel), crude steel production in the 70 countries/regions included in Worldsteel's statistics was 150.1 million tonnes in July 2025, down 1.3% year-on-year. Crude steel production in Africa was 1.9 million tons in July 2025, down 2.0% year-on-year; Crude steel production in Asia and Oceania was 110.4 million tons, down 1.9% year on year; Crude steel production in the EU (27) was 10.2 million tonnes, representing a year-on-year decrease of 7.0%; Other European Countries produced 3.6 million tonnes of crude steel, representing an increase of 2.6% over the same period of last year; Crude steel production in the Middle East was 4.4 million tonnes, representing a year-on-year increase of 27.7%; Crude steel production in North America was 9.4 million tonnes, representing an increase of 5.8% over the same period of last year; Crude steel production in Russia and other CIS countries + Ukraine was 6.7 million tons, down 5.1% year on year; Crude steel production in South America was 3.6 million tonnes, down 4.5% year-on-year.

In July 2025, China's crude steel production was 79.66 million tonnes, representing a year-on-year decrease of 4.0%; India's crude steel production was 14 million tonnes, representing an increase of 14.0% as compared with last year; Japan's crude steel production was 6.9 million tonnes, down 2.5% year-on-year; Crude steel production in the United States was 7.1 million tons, up 4.8% year on year; Russia's crude steel production is estimated at 5.7 million tons, down 2.4% year on year; South Korea's crude steel production was 5.3 million Tonnes, representing a decrease of 4.7% over the same period last year; Turkey's crude steel production was 3.2 million tonnes, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.2%; Germany's crude steel production was 2.7 million tonnes, representing a year-on-year decrease of 13.7%; Brazil's crude steel production is estimated to be 2.9 million Tons, down 5.5% year-on-year; Iran's crude steel production was 2.2 million tonnes, up 29.7% year on year.
